About Kottonology

The Story

Kottonology was born from my own personal health journey. Living with a chronic illness made me realize just how many harmful chemicals surround us—in our food, water, and even the clothes we wear. In searching for relief, I discovered that our skin, the body’s largest organ, absorbs so much more than we think.

When looking into this, I became aware of the huge number of families, with babies and young children suffering with eczema, psoriasis, and severe allergies, and how difficult it is for them to find clothing that wouldn’t aggravate their conditions. It upset me to see that comfort and relief were often out of reach simply because safe, chemical-free fabrics were too expensive for most families.

That’s when the idea for Kottonology was born.

The Mission

Kottonology is here to redefine casual clothing, through:

- Using 100% organic cotton—grown without pesticides or harmful chemicals.
- Collaborating with UK-based charities that support families and individuals coping with skin conditions and allergies.
- Partnering only with suppliers who treat workers ethically and pay fair wages.
- Eliminating plastic from production and packaging.
- Promoting recycling and circularity with free returns for repurposing.

Every garment we make is designed to be safe, sustainable, and support people and our planet.

Wear & Share: Clothing That Cares Twice

We believe everyone deserves safe, gentle clothing—especially children living with painful skin conditions. That’s why we created Wear & Share: for every eligible Kottonology purchase, we donate a similar garment to a family in need.

Your choice to wear organic cotton doesn’t just protect your health—it helps bring relief and dignity to someone else who desperately needs it.

The Takeaway

Kottonology isn’t just about fashion. It’s about health, compassion, and change. By choosing Kottonology, you’re protecting your skin, supporting workers, caring for the planet, and helping families who otherwise couldn’t access natural, chemical-free clothing.
